ANNUAL SPRING CLEAN-UP
SATURDAY, MAY 1, 2010
8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Including an electronics recycling event partnered with Eagle
Recycling Services of Carlyle, 618) 228-3478.
They will accept
all electronics and computers. Such items include: VCR's and
satellite equipment, stereo's and radio's, computers and computer
components, all types of monitors, printers and fax machines, small
appliances (i.e. curling irons, hair dryers, etc.), cell phones and
telephones, ALL types of batteries (car, phone, hearing aid,
standard, etc.), empty ink cartridges (in a sealed bag), Christmas
lights, LP records, wire and other items containing metal, TV sets
and console stereo systems. Eagle Recycling guarantees
destruction of hard drives and memory chips to protect private
information. They also guarantee that any item accepted will
not end of up in a landfill.
New Baden
residents will be able to get rid of most items on this day only. 3
large dumpsters will be available for a small user’s fee. Most
items, except hazardous materials, will gladly
be accepted. Additional charges will apply to tires.
