Village Park and Legion Memorial Pool

LOCATED AT 1103 EAST HANOVER STREET (JUNCTION OF ILLINOIS ROUTE 160 &161)

Open Daily, 6 a.m. to dusk.

The 41-acre New Baden Village Park has a swimming pool, tennis courts, ball diamonds, soccer field, hockey rink, limestone walking path, play-ground equipment, sand volleyball court, basketball court, horseshoe pits and picnic facilities.

Picnic facilities and other recreation areas are available by reservation only. The Park has 2 large pavilions (the Lion's Club Pavilion has an attached kitchen, the other Pavilion does not) and 2 small pavilions. Please call Village Hall for availability, 588-3813.

New Baden Organizations will have priority for scheduling pavilions or any other recreation facilities within the Park. New Baden Organizations may schedule the pavilions and other recreation facilities by reserving time slots at the Village Hall. New Baden Organizations may request the reservation fee to be waived.

Keys for the facilities may be checked out the day of the event or on the last working day prior to the event. Keys must be returned immediately after an event and may be deposited in the Village Hall's night deposit slot located on the west side of the building.

Baseball/Softball Diamond usage is also scheduled through Village Hall. To schedule, click here to download the form. There will be a $25.00 fee per diamond for any prep work done.

**May 26-29 and June 1-2, Pool will be open from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. due to school still being in session.

*Please Note: the Family Pass is for immediate family members only. A baby-sitter, an aunt or uncle, a niece or nephew, a cousin, and/or a grandparent DOES NOT count as an immediate family member.

**Out-of-District or non-resident is any person living outside the corporate limits of New Baden.

Group swimming lessons, water aerobic classes and pool parties are available. Please call the pool during the open season for more information regarding availability and pricing, 588-3888.

Water Aerobics will be offered on Monday and Wednesday from June 1st through August 12th from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Cost is $4.00 per class or 8 classes for $25.00.

Swimming lessons will be offered in two sessions. Each class is one hour in length. Each session will have 2 classes, 9 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Session I will be held June 8 - 12 and June 15 - 19. Session II will be held June 22 - 26 and June 29 – July 3. The cost for either session is $40 for in-district residents and $50 for out-of-district residents. Pre-registration and pre-payment must be made at the same time. NO PHONE REGISTRATION accepted, please come to the pool to sign up. (Out-of-District or non-resident is any person living outside the corporate limits of New Baden.)

The Legion Memorial Pool Manager would like to remind parents of children under 8 years of age that these children must be accompanied by a responsible person, subject to management approval.
