June 15th – June 18th (Mon-Thurs)   TENNIS ANYONE?

Game-Set-Match!  We will be hosting an introduction to tennis fundamentals and rules of the game.  You will be shown how to serve, return and positioning during a match.  A local college coach will be on hand to guide you through the basics of tennis.  You will be required to bring a racket for the camp.  This camp will be limited to 20 kids.  Ages 6 and up.  Camp will be held at the Village of New Baden tennis courts.  (Registration deadline: June 5th)

June 29th – July 3rd  (Mon-Fri)     Spanish Camp

Come explore the world of the Spanish language.  This week will be filled with activities to teach you about Spanish language, customs, food and activities.  You will also be involved in putting together crafts (kites/masks), sing songs and snacks that will make you more aware of the Spanish culture. Ages 6 and up.  Camp will be at the New Baden Civic Center.  (Registration deadline June 22nd) 

Time: 9:00 – 11:30                         CAMP COST: $30.00

 

July 6th – 10th  (Mon – Fri)              Lacrosse Camp

Come try the fastest game on two feet!  This beginner camp will give you a fun introduction to a game played with a stick and a ball.  Your child will learn the fundamentals of passing, catching, shooting and ground balls.  We will learn about the field and positions as well as some of the rules through creative and constant participation.  Skill development is taught through an introduction of drills, skill-building exercises, and scrimmages. Camp includes instruction by the O’Fallon Lacrosse Styx coaches.  All equipment provided.   Camp will be at the New Baden Soccer Field.  A minimum of 20 is required for this camp.  Grades 3-8th.  (Registration deadline June 29th)

July 20th – July 24th (Mon- Fri)  Writing Camp for Kids

For kids who want to explore the magic and fun in writing.

Discover ways to use your imagination through the writing of stories and poems. A special Wednesday evening Moon Journal writing session included, complete with bonfire, s'mores and stories by the moon.

*Writing utensils and journals provided.  Ages 6 – 14.   Limit 8 per session.  (Possible waiting list for second session) Camp will be at the New Baden Civic Center.  (Registration deadline July 13th ).

July 27th - July 31st  (Mon- Fri)     ABRA-CA-DAB-RA!!

Hampel's Magic Center is proud to present their MAGIC PROGRAMS! Learn the history of magic -Learn specific magic effects-Learn the types of magic magicians utilize-Learn why 'THE WIZARD OF OZ" has so much to do with being a real magician!  Camp will be hosted by Dennis Hampel of Hampel's Magic Center Lebanon, IL (hampelscircusmagic.com).  Each camper will receive a trick (to take home), learn how to perform & present the trick to an audience.  On Friday, a Magic Show will be presented for parents/guardians to attend. Ages 6 and up.  Camp will be at the New Baden Civic Center. (Registration Deadline July 20th)

            Time:  9:00 - 11:00    Camp Cost:   $40.00 (includes 4 tricks to take home)
